Frank’s Bake Shop & Custom Catering, in Bangor, Maine, traces its roots back to 1945 when Frank Soucy, Sr. and two of his sons, Joseph and Frank Jr., opened a retail bakery at 148 Hancock Street on October 17th. They quickly outgrew their original location and moved to their present site at 199 State Street just two years later on November 7, 1947.
The business was passed on first to Joseph’s children and now today it is owned and operated by Brett Soucy and his wife Shelby. Brett & Shelby are continuing the tradition of making specialty baked goods from scratch, as well as homemade meals, and custom catering for any occasion using the highest quality ingredients available. Our motto is still “Where Good Means the Best”.
